StetPro helps students produce notes and essays in their own words by speaking rather than typing or handwriting. Formatting tidies punctuation and paragraphs but does not write for them, and the recording, raw transcript and formatted copy are kept as a record of how the work was made.

Some students can explain an idea perfectly well out loud but find it much harder to begin on a blank page. StetPro lets them start by speaking, without the pressure of typing, spelling, or getting the structure right first time.

Who can StetPro help?

StetPro is designed for students who find it easier to express their ideas aloud than to type or handwrite them. This may include some students with dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, motor difficulties or fatigue-related barriers.

These are examples, not eligibility criteria. The key question is whether speaking helps remove a barrier to getting the student’s own ideas into written form.

When you’ve finished in StetPro, export your work and continue in Word or another compatible program you normally use. Exports are available as a Word-compatible document (.docx), PDF or plain text.
