Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information StetPro processes, why it is processed, who else is involved in providing the service, and the choices and rights available to students, staff and institutions.

In short

  • Your school, college or university decides how student work in StetPro is used. StetPro handles that work on their instructions.
  • StetPro records audio you choose to record, converts it into a transcript, and produces a formatted version of that transcript.
  • The original recording and the original transcript are kept unchanged so it is clear the words are yours.
  • Only people your institution authorises — for example an assigned teacher — can see finalised work, and audio access is granted separately.
  • Actions taken on work are recorded in an audit log: creating, finalising, clarifying, archiving and deleting work, exporting or copying a transcript and playing audio where staff do so, and signing out. Simply reading work on screen is not recorded.
  • You can contact us about your information at any time, and you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
